Matthew is an experienced health information system integrator and interoperability architect who has worked as a consultant, manager, developer, and system engineer. He has used IT to enable complex clinical and administrative workflows in radiology, lab, clinic, hospital, billing, and HIE organizations. As a consultant, Matthew has provided integration services to healthcare organizations around the country. As a manager, Matthew has coached and organized teams focused on delivering interoperability solutions. As a developer, Matthew has deep expertise with InterSystems technology at all levels: data, application, and presentation, and has broad experience with Health IT standards such as HL7 and IHE profiles. As a system engineer, Matthew has deep expertise with cloud and on-prem based deployments of complex interoperability solutions. 

Matthew, a Marine Corp Veteran, is a native of the Inland Northwest and long-time resident of Spokane, WA. In 2012 Matthew completed his Master of Science in Health Informatics degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Matthew’s passion is for improving health care experiences and outcomes for providers and patients by enabling health information exchange. He is proficient with the following software: InterSystems IRIS, InterSystems IRIS for Health, and InterSystems HealthShare. In addition to that, his programming knowledge extends to the following: IRIS Object Script, XML, SQL, SOAP, REST, JSON, and JavaScript. Lastly, it is important to note that Matthew is well-versed in Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), XDS.b, XDS-I.b XCA, XCPD, and HL7 structured messages and documents (HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, and FHIR, RIS, PACS).
