Jake Pugh

General Counsel

Jake has a wide and varied legal background, beginning his legal career as a judicial law clerk in southern Minnesota. He then served on active duty as an Air Force Judge Advocate for eight years, followed by 12 years in the US Air Force Reserves. On active duty, Jake became a subject matter expert in government contracting, in addition to spending time in the courtroom and stationed in Texas, Mississippi, Europe, and Korea, with combat deployment to Iraq and supporting disaster relief in the Philippines. He is admitted to practice in Texas.

Following active duty, Jake worked for the State of Texas prior to joining the Ready team in 2022. He was the founding manager of the Texas Legislative Budget Board’s contract oversight team, advising the Texas Legislature on fiscal and contracting matters. He served as Senior Legal Counsel to the Texas Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General.

Jake now leads the Ready Computing legal and compliance team as General Counsel, where he brings a strong sense of team, experience, and mentorship. He enjoys family time, long bike rides, and flying small planes in his spare time.
