Software Engineers work directly with clients, product managers, user experience experts, frontend and backend engineers to develop highly scalable, highly performant solutions on behalf of Ready Computing’s clients. Any given day, you may be asked to write code, manage process, give input into software architecture, help implementation teams install and configure your software, and help track and report project progress. You’ll work with teams in several care settings to ensure delivery of service oriented, well integrated solutions. The work that you produce will eventually help clinicians deliver and manage care more effectively, and organizations track and manage information across their network.
We prefer a candidate with a willingness to learn a variety of development toolsets and methodologies, and are less interested in experience with specific technologies; however, the ideal candidate may have experience working with:

• .NET (C#), Java or other Object Oriented Programming languages
• Intersystems technology: Healthshare, Ensemble, Cache, ObjectScript would be highly desired
• Web Services (REST, SOAP) would be highly desired
• DB systems (relational, object oriented, sparse) such as SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
• SDLC tools and methodologies, modern source control systems (Atlassian, GIT)
• Experience working with front end development frameworks would be a plus: HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven experience architecting, developing and implementing highly scalable enterprise level applications
• Passion for designing elegant, extensible and performant software architectures
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a desire to interact with a variety of team members, customers and end-users

Who should apply:

  • Software Integration Specialists with experience implementing a well-known integration platform from vendors such as InterSystems, Orion, Mirth, Caradigm, or Corepoint
  • Charismatic and friendly professionals that demonstrate a strong presence in meetings, whether they be by phone or in person

Specific job duties include:
  • Consult with Ready Computing customers on best IT practices within the healthcare sector
  • Architect site -specific solutions based on the latest relevant paradigms and standards
  • Integrate systems and applications using HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, X12, FHIR, and other standards
  • Implement Master Patient Index (MPI) and Provider Directory (PD) solutions
  • Implement patient privacy / confidentiality filters
  • Implement terminology maps between code sets from SNOMED, ICD, LOINC, and others
  • Serve as a senior resource to technical support staff when operational issues are escalated
  • Conduct customer training and education sessions
  • Represent Ready Computing in sales and marketing activities
 
Depending on your level of experience, you may qualify for either an "Architect", "Consultant", or "Interface Engineer" role.
 
We are based in New York City, although are looking to staff a new office in the Boston area. We are also open to a remote employment arrangement provided that you're in either the United States, Canada, or Europe. We prefer someone with 5+ years experience, but are open to prospective employees with less experience if they demonstrate knowledge in core foundational areas and a sincere willingness to learn
and dig in.

User Experience Designer

You will be working with clients, product managers, backend developers and integration engineers to develop intuitive front ends for highly technical, workflow centric applications on behalf of Ready Computing’s clients. Some of the challenges that you’ll help solve are reducing repetitive clicks, designing intuitive workflows and effectively visualizing data-centric healthcare applications. The work that you produce will eventually help clinicians deliver and manage care more effectively.
We prefer a candidate with a willingness to learn a variety of design applications and development methodologies, and are less interested in experience with specific technologies; however, the ideal candidate may have experience working with:

• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• XHTML/CSS
• Front end development frameworks: HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap

Requirements

Project Manager


Project Managers work directly with both customers and senior management to ensure effective management and relationships of key customer projects with the goal of delivering all projects on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
• Create detailed project plans, manage deliverables and tasks therein, and serve as Company’s primary voice to Company customers with regard to project status
• Manage project budgets based on time, scope and/or cost projections
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Participate in software architecture discussions with Company customers
• Consult with Company customers on best IT practices
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation Report and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Assist in the creation of client statements of work and/or tender responses for final approval by Company
• Represent Company in sales and marketing events

Requirements:
• Very good educational background; preferably B.S. in the fields of computer science or engineering
• Proven working experience in project management in the information technology sector
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong understanding of HIE, Healthcare interoperability and interface projects is strongly desired
• PMP certification is a plus.
